Time for families and children have proper housing, enough food and real educational opportunities. Time for art programs to be healthy and attended by all. Dreams of increased giving by individuals, foundations, corporations and the government. Volunteering soars. Hoping we can help a little.

The Charles D Jacobus Family Foundation is posting its guidelines for 2010. Pre-applications are due April 1, 2010 for our Healthy Children Initiative. Requests for that initiative can either be program specific or for general operating support. Organizations need to be Milwaukee based and operated. Organizations with smaller operating budgets are encouraged. Our focus continues to be effectively meeting the needs of Milwaukee’s most vulnerable children and families. What you should know before you continue:

We fund programs located and based in Milwaukee County.
Our focus is to encourage the healthy - physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially - development of children.
All Healthy Children’s Initiative finalists require a site visit. All other requests for funding over $7500 require a site visit before consideration.
We do not award scholarships or fund individuals.

The following requests will not be considered: kids2

Funding to benefit individual, religious or political activities
Fund-raising or travel
Legislative or lobbying activities
Tuition or scholarships
Staff seminars
Benefits (sponsoring tables, buying auction items, etc.), competitions, parades or camps
